Off for a while

Our eldest son Alex, who is 12, is about to undergo an extensive surgical procedure on his right foot and leg (he lives with a right-sided hemiplegia from a stroke he suffered near birth), and so from here on out — for at least the next two weeks or longer — I need to sign off.
