Capitol Hill Blues

CommonDreams links to a piece today from an internet newsletter called Capitol Hill Blues. I can’t vouch for the authority or authenticity of this piece, and it reinforces too many of my bleakest concerns to give it much credence. Still, the piece is interesting for its assertion that much of what is going on right now in the Bush White House is based on the President’s belief that he is “ruling at the behest of God.” If indeed this kind of rhetoric, let alone a belief in it, is floating around the White House we need a new Barmen Declaration more than ever!
