Racism and the LOTR

There’s been a lot of discussion going on about the various representations of race in contemporary film. One of the best is part of Lisa Nakamura’s book Cybertypes, where she talks about the world of the Matrix. Just today I found another interesting site, put up by Tolerance.org, that engages issues of race in the Lord of the Rings movies, as well as the Matrix movies. The site also has a ton of other useful resources.
