Local bus driver blogging

/ 5 April 2004

The bus strike continues here in the Twin Cities. And it continues to make life difficult for countless people — most of whom have very little voice in public policy, and have become nearly invisible. Today the union asked drivers on the highways to slow down to 45 or 50 mph and sport a green ribbon on their antennae. I generally avoid the highways, but I’m seriously thinking of doing this, as a way of helping to “make visible” those affected by the strike. I’ve also just found a blog that is written by a bus driver, and I suspect he’ll have some more suggestions, too. Transit for Livable Communities also remains an excellent source of information.
