My heart weeps…

I have just learned of the death of Eloisa Chouhy. I had the good fortune of meeting her several years ago when she was travelling in the US working on catechetical issues. She is one of the catechetical visionaries working in Latin America who have transformed adult religious education by taking seriously adults and their meaning-making in media culture. The website she helped to develop, Luz y Alegría lives on, as will her impact on so many people (myself included). I am deeply grieved to learn of her passing, and will keep her family and friends in prayer. I invite you to do so, too.
