Songs to live on and campaign with

I can’t help thinking about the Bush/Cheney commercials (there are stories all over the media about them this morning), but rather than dwelling on them I’d rather think about the songs that could take us some place else. This morning I vote for Sheryl Crow’s“Let’s get free,” John Mellencamp’s “To Washington,” Bruce Springsteen’s “My city of ruins,” U2’s “Walk on,” and the Dixie Chicks’ “I believe in love.” (And all of these are available at the iTunes music store.)
