What’s been going wrong for the Dean campaign?

Ok, this piece was hard for me to read because it makes some excellent points about why it is that Dean’s campaign wasn’t successful in Iowa or NH. I don’t think Clay Shirky gets it all the way right, because he’s not paying sufficient attention to the resistance that our own party and the media elites are creating (see Chris Lydon’s piece for that part of the puzzle), but he nevertheless makes some important points that we need to pay attention to if we’re going to be successful going forward from here.
