Encyclopedia of Television

/ 14 January 2004

I don’t know when it went “live,” but the Museum of Broadcasting’s “Encyclopedia of Television” is now up and running. It’s got more than 1000 original essays on a host of topics, and it’s fully accessible online. It’s kind of fun just to browse. I found pieces on The Day After, and Max Headroom, both shows I’d been thinking about lately in a different context. It would be helpful if the site had a search function, and of course, the minute you start looking for something you realize all that isn’t there. Still, it’s worth a look.
