The PATRIOT Act on campus

I’ve written before in this weblog about the dangers our current political climate in the US poses to the public expression of ideas — an essential element of such expression is the ability to work out in public different and diverging ideas. Jonathan Cole of Columbia University writes eloquently about these issues in the Boston Review, in a piece entitled “The Patriot Act on Campus: Defending the University Post 9/11.”
