Religion newswriters

Let me highlight a great website that I’ve known about for some time, but should mention here: the Religion Newswriters Association. They have a great reference library, which includes tons of links to substantive sources of information on various issues concerning religion that come up in the news, as well as great links to education sources, too. They also do a fabulous “religion link” for reporters, that comes out biweekly. It’s chock full of useful background information on particular issues, along with suggested national commentators. In light of the recent controversies that the Episcopal Church is dealing with here in Minneapolis this week, I recommend the RNA site’s “guide to covering marriage issues.”
