Stop development of new nukes

Sometimes this world feels more and more surreal to me! From the Union of Concerned Scientists comes an action alert that warns that Congress is getting ready to fund the development of new nuclear weapons. With all of the problems we have to deal with — including increasing terrorism and global environmental disaster — it strikes me as problematic at least, and deeply sinful specifically, to spend money on such development. Have we ever developed a weapon we haven’t deployed? Think about it, then act on the alert.
