Reclaim the public domain

Lawrence Lessig points off to the “reclaim the public domain” petition. Take a moment to go there, read it, and sign it! He also points off to a new DVD entitled “Willful Infringment” that deals with the ways in which large corporations “use statutory damages as a secret weapon to collect hundreds of thousands of dollars from people who are ‘guilty until proven innocent.’” The site that sells the DVD also has a handy little “timeline on copyright” as well as an excellent bibliography on the issues with lots of links.
