Cutting edge digital artistry

/ 24 May 2003

Adan’s weblog led me to the “smokin mirrors” site, which is a fascinating collection of digital artistry (including some striking music videos and short films). That in turn reminded me of the powerful artwork of Wayne Dunkley, whose long-running site “sharemyworld.net” has run numerous awards with its evocative and challenging (yet still accessible) engagement with racism in the North American context. Wayne also has a new piece up at Horizon Zero, which is meditative and richly engaging. (Brief warning to Safari users — for some reason this last site doesn’t work in Safari). Adan himself has done some lovely work with the “Ministry Beyond Borders” cd-rom, but I can’t find any samples of it on the web.
