Psalm 23
Over the years I’ve begun to collect various interpretation of and allusions to Psalm 23, in part as a teaching opportunity to help students think through the significance of this psalm, and in part to help them expand their interpretations. Here are some of them:
a liturgical dance set to Bobby McFerrin’s version of Psalm23
A Japanese version (shared at Seattle University in May of 2014).
U2 and Bob Dylan’s song “Love Rescue Me”
Coolio’s song “Gangsta’s Paradise” (which begins with a line from the psalm)
Pink Floyd’s song “Sheep”
The Eagles’ song “Long Road out of Eden”
