2026 Things I don’t want to lose track of…
2026 has started out with more grief and anger than I sometimes know what to do with. Between the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, and all of the intentional disinformation our federal government is putting out, I hardly remember to breathe.
But then I do remember to do so.
And SO VERY MUCH creativity has been poured out! Here are some elements I do not want to lose:
Articles that help me to think
- Distinctions between activism and dissidence an Atlantic article
- Distinctions between the "normative" state and the "perogative" state a Vox essay
- Minnesota proved ICE wrong an Atlantic article
- A timeline of ICE in Minnesota starting in December
Websites that I go to for networking
- Monarcamn.org
- Unidos-mn.org
- MN Interfaith Coalition on Migration
- ISAIAH in MN
- Joint Religious Legislative Coalition
- MARCH
News organizations
- MinnPost
- Racket
- Sahan Journal
- National Catholic Reporter
- Minnesota Public Radio
- Vox
- The Atlantic
- The Righting
- Heather Cox Richardson Letters from an American
Creative pieces
- a list of the many protest songs that have been shared in recent weeks from MinnPost
- Pasture politics: satire from a farmer
- Singing resistance MN on Instagram
A few miscellaneous things
- A legal analysis of the church protest (ignore the ridiculous ad break in the middle) from Legal Eagle
- Further legal analysis following the arrest of journalists Georgia Fort and Don Lemon
- The multi-faith service that was held at Temple Israel the morning of the first general strike January 23, 2026
- My page of personal resources (started long ago)
- The ELCA presiding bishop and MN bishops’ statement
