Challenges bringing light rail to Minneapolis

Sigh. If only we had kept the trains — and the linear corridors! — that used to exist all throughout the midwest. But we didn’t. So now we have to deal with all sorts of challenges when bringing public transit to our cities. Right now, in the Twin Cities, we’re dealing with the challenge of the path for the Southwest Corridor light rail. It’s been in the works for decades, but we still can’t find a path. These days the conflicts are so complex that it’s even hard to get a grip on what they are! Thankfully MPR has come to the rescue with a cute — and useful — take on it:
