FFR: Media and political dysfunction

Just the title of a recent Ethan Zuckerman post is worth reading — Media attention and political dysfunction: a recipe for cynicism? — but I think the whole post is interesting, and gets at some of the really challenging elements of our media system. Like: the consistent need to get our attention by ever more disturbing stories, rather than by good reporting on good stories.
