Catholicism on TV

/ 14 September 2008

I don’t often watch Faith Matters Now (one of ABC’s religion news spots), but that’s in part because I don’t often watch television. In any case, a friend send me these two links, which are interesting interviews. The first is with Kerry Kennedy, on her new book Being Catholic Now, and the second is a continuation that includes Frank McCourt. Part of what I find fascinating about the interviews, is that the interviewer wears a collar, is named “Father Beck,” and seems a bit confused by his guests. He’s confused in part, I think, because his interviewees are clearly trying to offer a more nuanced, and complex view of Catholicism than might often be around.
