Curiouser and curiouser

Well this is interesting. I was looking for some photos to use in a class I’m putting together, and in a search for “faith and politics” found this image of Rick Bliese (Luther’s president) giving a blessing at an RNC luncheon.

To be fair, this is an image found in the Faith and Politics Institute's flickr site, and they are a nonpartisan interfaith organization. One of the more striking things about these pictures? Look at the photostream from this organization's event at the DNC, and then look at the photostream from the RNC. The differences -- particularly in terms of the race and gender of participants -- are remarkable.
