Live, hope, love

/ 9 April 2008

This is a powerful, interactive, multi-media site created by a poet (Kwame Dawes) to engage people with his journey to Jamaica, and what he learned with the people there about living with HIV. Several times I was in tears, and others smiling deeply. There are laments here, and there is resurrection. (Hat tip to Andrew Sullivan.) It’s this kind of work that helps to showcase what is truly possible in this medium! And it reminds me of Wayne Dunkley’s ShareMyWorld site, another one of my favorites.

Following through on these links also led to the Pulitzer Center's Global Gateway, something to which I'd like to return.
