Standard prison chapel book lists

/ 21 September 2007

The NYTimes has printed the lists of religious books “allowed” in prison libraries. I haven’t looked at all of the lists, but the Catholic one is kind of amusing — some substantial and appropriate books, and then a bunch of “other” stuff. At least there are a few feminist books, and some decent music CD’s. Still, it’s hard to figure out what might have been the rationale behind this list.
