Oscar Romero

/ 21 March 2007

This time of year, it’s good to remember the life of Oscar Romero, who was assassinated on March 24, 1980. One good way to do so, is to contribute to the work of the Funding Exchange. They provide connections with multiple groups and organizations devoted to social justice work, amongst them the Martin Baró fund, which was begun in memory of another martyr from South America — Ignacio Martin Baró, a Jesuit who was murdered in El Salvador in 1989.
