Boy crisis “busted”

/ 29 June 2006

There’s a new study out that apparently points out that the recent alarm about boys not being engaged well in schools, being in “crisis” because they’re not being taught properly with respect to their gender distinctiveness, is not based in reality. Being the mother of two boys, I’ve tended to watch these studies with some interest, but I’ve also been nervous on occasion by what seems like creeping sexism being renewed. So it will be interesting to see how the press follows this study.
