Hope

/ 13 June 2006

Lately there have been so many awful things going on (suicides at Guantanamo, ever increasing deaths in Iraq, Haditha, etc.) that it can be hard to find hope in the present political situation. I just got done reading this powerful post from dailyKos. It’s a report from their first ever “yearlyKos” — an attempt to bring together many of the people who regularly blog and lurk on the dailyKos site in person to brainstorm and work on building a better and stronger progressive presence. The post gives me a lot of hope, and reminds me that it is the building of community that really makes a difference, and makes change possible.
