UCC endorses marriage equality

Hurray for the United Church of Christ! Yesterday they gave some of us reason to celebrate the 4th of July by voting overwhelmingly — roughly 80% supported the resolution — to endorse equal access to marriage for straights and gays. The UCC was also the author of some wonderful ads earlier this year proclaiming that “God is still speaking” — I’m beginning to wonder if I ought to return to my roots… (My mom is a church organist in a UCC church in Oshkosh, and I spent part of my childhood there.)
