Great overview of research

/ 25 March 2005

Thanks to the Center for Media Literacy to pointing me off to the Kaiser Family Foundation issue brief on the last couple decades of research on children aged 0 - 6 and electronic media. It’s available as a “pdf” document, although for some reason my version of Acrobat isn’t letting me save it locally. Still, it’s a great summary of the relevant research (and its ambiguity). Given the local media hype of the “effect” of media on school violence, it’s well worth revisiting the complexity and ambiguity of the actual research.
