Peace in the Precincts

Peace in the Precincts continues to grow! They are now partnering with Friends for a Nonviolent World around a specific map for bringing our troops home from Iraq AND ensuring Iraqi sovereignty. They are currently asking people to call their Congresspeople and ask them to accept a meeting with the Peace in the Precincts organizers to talk about it. I got a call last night from our local contact person who told me that Betty McCollum has said she needs more “cover” — read: more grassroots pressure — before she will be willing to meet with them. So… please visit their “tool shed” to get a sample letter and addresses, and write to your local congressperson and ask them to take positive steps to support a sane and just withdrawal from Iraq.
