Seymour Hersh at the ACLU

/ 15 July 2004

Seymour Hersh spoke at the ACLU members conference in early July. His speech is available via streaming audio. The Moveon subsite “The Daily Misleader” notes that it might be particularly pertinent to listen to the speech at the 1 hour 30 minute mark. I think the whole speech is powerful, but those few minutes had me in tears. Among other allegations, Hersh remarks that our government has videotape records of boys being sodomized at Abu Ghraib, and that “The worst is the soundtrack of the boys shrieking.” I am on my knees today, because I just don’t know what else to do about this.
