Smiling…

Thanks to Catrina to pointing me off to these smiles: a shipping issue regarding Saddam Hussein, a concern that Reagan’s death might have been “spun,” and Microsoft’s offer to buy Iraq! My mom has been in town since last Wednesday, so I’ve been too busy to blog. We’ve had a fun time, including taking in the Pirates of Penzance at the Guthrie, and watching Calendar Girls and Whale Rider (both of which I highly recommend, if you’re thinking about issues of leadership in our current contexts). Now it’s back to work, including teaching, as I have a course beginning tomorrow. I think this marks the official end of my study leave!
