Weather watching

Wow — what an evening! Tornadoes touching down in the metro area (St. Louis Park, Greenfield), marble size hail on my front porch and all over my yard, lightening that flies horizontally lighting up the sky. When I judged the storm was over, I drove over to our discipleship group’s barbecue (which turned into an indoor picnic). Along the way I saw a large number of huge trees broken over on their side. The park by the elementary school which is by Luther was full of trees fallen over on their sides, broken off at the roots. I couldn’t tell if they were struck by lightening or uprooted by wind, but it was an amazing and alarming sight. We needed the rain so much, but we did not need to lose so many trees! I hope that no one has been harmed this night…
