Who gives to political campaigns?

Now here’s an interesting map of the funding base of various candidates, based on the recent FEC reports. I was actually pretty surprised, and alarmed (if I’m honest) that President Bush is #2 on the list of small donors (as well as being #1 on the list of “fat cats”).
