EW on gay marriage

Here’s one reason the demographics are so different in this country around issues of gay marriage: young people can see through certain kinds of hypocrisy more easily than others. Jim Mullen, writing in Entertainment Weekly (hardly a news journal, but one read by a lot of young people) jokes (with a cutting edge): “don’t they know anything in Massachusetts? Marriage should be between unfaithful, skirt-chasing men and the needy, unhappy women who love them” (Dec. 5, 2003).
