More on media reform

/ 4 May 2003

Reading weblogs is a fun way to wind around the net. This evening I touched down in Lawrence Lessig’s blog, which led me to an interesting piece about Bob McChesney (who I’ve touched on before), which in turn led me to the mediareform.network (and also Andrew O Baoille’s weblog, a graduate student in communications). All of this further cementing my sense that now is an absolutely critical time to lobby the FCC as it goes through its rule changes process. Given that more and more of our religious meaning-making is thoroughly embedded in mass mediated cultural databases, having a widely open media in this country is absolutely vital to living faith-fully.
