Sarah Palin’s presidential strategy

/ 29 November 2010

One of the interesting things for me about holidays is how I get in touch with people from a much broader range of backgrounds and spaces than I ordinarily do in my daily life. I spent some time recently in Wisconsin, talking with my extended family and accompanying them on some of their daily chores. We puzzled together over Sarah Palin and her rise to prominence. Today I read Robert Reich’s explanation of her strategy, and it made a lot of sense to me. Oh, not that I’m going to vote for her! But more that I can begin to see, through Reich’s eyes, why she’s gaining in popularity.
