Rome eases shift for Anglicans

/ 21 October 2009

Apparently the Vatican wants to make it easier for Anglicans to become Roman Catholics, further intensifying the centrifugal process that is making the Roman Catholic church more fundamentalist when it comes to gay issues, and the Anglican church more progressive. I can’t say that I’m pleased by this move, although it does mean yet more movement down the slippery slope toward married priests. This new addition to canon law apparently, (as it’s not been published yet, only announced) continues to rule out married bishops.
