Great new book!

I just received the book Heterosexism in Contemporary World Religion: Problem and Prospect, from the Religious Consultation on Population, Reproductive Health and Ethics. I can’t remember if I requested it? Perhaps I’m on some useful list to which they send review copies. In any case, that’s my disclaimer as to why I have book. But I’m happy to note that it’s an excellent resource, full of essays by internationally known scholars (Daniel Maguire, Judith Plaskow, Marvin Ellison, Ghazala Anwar, Ann-Marie Hsiung, Yu-Chen Li, Mary Hunt, Kelly Brown Douglas, and Anantanand Rambachan) on questions of heterosexism. Given the extent to which Christian communities are struggling with the challenges of confronting heterosexism, it’s helpful to recognize that resources and allies in that struggle live in other faith communities as well.
