Donald Rumsfeld’s biblical quotations

I can’t even figure out how to talk about this. It turns out that Donald Rumsfeld put biblical quotations at the top of several of his memos to the White House about the war, using them as proof-texting captions for images of our soldiers, evidently arguing for the righteousness of the war. I am appalled.

As with most proof-texting, some of these quotes which have been taken out of context actually might condemn the war when put back into their biblical context.
