Times are tough all around, and I know that everyone is asking for help. So it might feel a bit quixotic to give money to a media education organization when people need food to eat. But it’s not! As human beings, we are communicators. And in a media culture, learning how to produce and share your own story is a CRUCIAL life skill. TVbyGirls is a wonderful organization that helps girls — and boys, too — do just that. They’re having a hard time getting funding right now precisely because people don’t understand how important what they do, is. They work on a tight shoestring and very little overhead. If you can find an extra $10 somewhere, please consider giving it to them.
