Keeping it real and keeping it going for change

/ 6 March 2008

In the midst of reading blogs I find myself getting more and more dispirited about the state of the world, and about the possible — some argue inevitable — turn towards the negative in the Democratic primaries. I want to argue that it’s not just the candidates’ responsibility to try and stay focused on issues and away from the negative, it’s also OUR responsibility to keep them focused on the issues, and not play into the negative.

Towards that end, instead of linking to the back and forth going on right now about negative campaign strategies, I'm going to try and point towards some substantial issue/experience stuff. For instance, here's a fascinating analysis from the JustForeignPolicy blog about Obama's and Clinton's responses to the recent Columbian incursion into Ecuador.
