Wow… Seabury Western in transition

I’m not even sure how to think about this, because on the one hand the first couple paragraphs of the statement make a lot of sense — it’s brave, courageous sense for a seminary to recognize that its function is being met well elsewhere, and to imagine what new opportunities/challenges God might be calling into being. On the other hand, it’s hard not to feel a lot of pain and concern for what this school is going through, and for my friends who teach there.
