Protests…

So, we just got back from standing by the statehouse in St. Paul, protesting the war. It’s a glorious sunny day, warm, light breeze — a perfect day to take some time to be with friends protesting, but there were only maybe 500 of us there. Sigh. A HUGE coalition of groups have endorsed and called for this protest — among them labor groups, churches, the office of social justice of the archdiocese, etc. So if this is all the people we could muster, I wonder what’s wrong?

Alternatively, here are some pictures taken by someone who was down at the Jena protests in Louisiana. The difference would be.....?
