Christine’s lullabye

/ 28 February 2007

Here’s a piece of orchestral music written by a college student at St. Olaf, in memory of the youngest victim of the 9/11 flights. The music is powerful, the story inspiring. We need to share this kind of response, and inspire others to use their creativity in response to whatever anguish they — and we — are experiencing. Imagine if instead of loading missiles to throw into Iran, we created powerful music and shared it. Imagine if we allowed ourselves to feel not only our fear, but our common humanity. Imagine if difference became a gift to be enjoyed and learned from, rather than something to avoid. Imagine.
