Hacking electronic voting

/ 17 September 2006

Lawrence Lessig (constitutional law scholar at Stanford) has an excellent, brief post that summarizes what is currently being learned about hacking Diebold electronic voting machines. This stuff is scary! It’s all together TOO EASY to mess with our voting in this way. Included in the post is a YouTube video created by the Princeton University scholars who have written an extensive scholarly paper on the issue. If we really believe in democracy, we ought to be calling all of our legislators and getting them to take this research seriously.
