Everyone’s a network

Will Richardson points to a particularly interesting take on the new media by Jeff Jarvis:

"In the future of media, which is now, everybody is a network. In the past, networks were defined by control of content or distribution. But now, you can’t own all distribution and content is controlled where it’s created."

Will is noting that this is a key insight for educators to understand, and I agree. I also worry, frequently, that theological educators don't have a clue. Which is such a shame, given -- at least in the Christian context -- our core theological beliefs. Sigh.
