Emerging firmware

/ 12 April 2006

Bob Fisher, of nuchurch, has an interesting post up (thanks to ELN for pointing to it) that talks about some of key elements of emergent response. Among other things he notes:

"...ministry to postmoderns can happen anywhere that people are serious about doing ministry with postmoderns as postmoderns, and will fail anywhere they want to do ministry to postmoderns."

Part of me wants to simply say, "d'uh!", but I suspect this kind of statement needs to be made again and again. (Although I would change it just a bit, and say that ministry with people can happen anywhere that people are serious about doing ministry with persons in the fullness of their integrity, and will fail anywhere we try to do less.)
