Three quick notes

/ 26 January 2006

As I’m dashing out the door this morning, three things I don’t want to lose. First, in going back to NCR to see if they’ve got any commentary on the Pope’s encyclical, I noted that their front page article on the encyclical mentioned a copyright conflict in passing. It seems that the Vatican is trying to assert control over everything Benedict has written in the past, and will write in the future — in the process making it very difficult for small religious presses who have survived by re-packaging papal documents — to survive. Hmmmm….

Second, here's a very interesting link to a presentation on implications of the experience economy, coming from two European authors.

Third, in the same issue of NCR, a very nice article on the Roman Catholic women being ordained (including a nice quote from my mother-in-love, Dagmar Celeste).
