JibJab’s This Land

/ 31 July 2004

Ok, I admit it: you can tell I’m pretty far out of the loop in the blogosphere, since this is the first time I’ve provided the URL to the JibJab version of “This Land.” Still, if you haven’t had a chance to see this cunning little animation, you should check it out. Then, go and read Jesse Walker’s description of the court battle that is shaping up over the use of the “this land is your land” song. I wish Arlo Guthrie would come out and comment on it. I can’t help thinking he would admire this new “take” on the folk song, or at least support the right of creative artists to use it for parody.
