Citation references

/ 19 January 2004

Lately I’ve been fussing a lot with citations for various things (my son’s 6th grade reports, grant proposals, an essay I’m writing), and I’ve been mourning the fact that all of the good APA, etc. style manuals have been removed from the web (or turned into sites you need to pay to subscribe to). I just discovered, however, (courtesy of the MEA list), the following Citation Machine site, which shows you how a book reference would look in MLA or APA. It’s a good teaching tool for kids like my son (and, I suspect, some of my graduate students), and includes forms to use for online forum postings, newspaper articles, and the like.
