Lord’s prayer

Over the years I’ve begun to collect different versions of the Lord’s Prayer, in part as a teaching opportunity to help students think through the  significance of this prayer, and in part to help them expand their interpretations. Here are some of them:

a version from a New Zealand prayerbook

an embodied, dance anthem version

a feminist litany with alternating sides, the traditional version and an alternate version, mingled

another feminist version

a feminist version with a decidedly “green” emphasis

a set of  “woman oriented” versions

a poem/prayer version by George Ella Lyon

an internet blogger’s version

a version by Parker Palmer

a version from human rites (this is all the info I have, if you have more about this one -- please let me know!)

John Denver doing an Indian sign language version

a Swahili version with music by Christopher Tin
